Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Bullitt

Interesting. It felt very real, though the cinematography didn't really add to the realism IMO, it was mainly the acting that did it. The ending didn't really have an extreme plot twist, which was what I was expecting, though what happened was a bit unexpected.
Oh yeah, car chase scene was awesome.

3.5/5

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Good, but nothing spectacular.

The Reader

Again, good, but nothing spectacular.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Land of the Lost

Meh.

3/5

Defiance

I enjoyed it. It had a lot of classic action parts in it that weren't realistic, but still cool. The film had an awesome look to it as well. Very nice cinematography and stuff. I enjoyed the music too.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
Pretty good movie, I liked it.

Spoiler (click to read)

That scene where they walk into the tomb (and find the Matrix Key) reminded me a lot of Indy 3

"actuallly this involves spiderman too, not batman. but im also taking a new approach, more comedy, less action. i dont see to many movies like that with more comedy than action" --SteveStarfyTV on an Indiana Jones meets Star Wars idea.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

One of the better movies ive seen this year.  If you liked the first one then you should like this one also;
This movie had more comedy then the first one.  There plenty of explosions and lots of the slow-motion,
sumo wrestling of the transformers, and not to mention Megan Fox mini/wink

The one problem i had with this movie was the lack of a plot.  If you liked the first transformers for the story,
then this one wont be as enjoyable because the plot in this one was spacy at best, but filled with lots of explosions
fight scenes (and Megan Fox) which added quite a bit to the overall movie.

I would give it 4.5/5 stars.  Dont get me wrong; it was a excellent movie and that was fun to watch!

If I'm on the forums, I'm probably waiting for Blender to finish rendering.

The Truman Show

Very interesting satire on American television and media. Jim Carrey and Ed Harris gave great performances, but Carrey sometimes went a bit over the top for my liking. Other than that, it's a good film.

The Great Escape and Shallow Grave
both were really good... 9/10 and 7/10

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

I Am Cuba

I started watching this about half way through so I can't give a fair analysis but of what I saw I was really blown away by the tracking shots. Have a look at the Funeral Procession scene http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5niug … shortfilms It's amazing how at the end it just seems to fly of the balcony. I kept thinking about how they filmed that. At first I thought it was a crane but when the camera comes into the Cigar Shop that theory seemed wrong and then the camera basically flies away. I really want to see how that was filmed.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

I could imagine that there was a person on the crane, who then passed it on to a person in the shop. It does look amazing.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

City of Ember
I thought the movie was pretty stupid. Then again, the person controlling the film was smart enough to skip about 30 minutes of film because we all went to lunch. (I watched it at school.)

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Transformers Deux was amazing. !@#$ the plot, bring on the badass robot action.

Transformers: Rise of the Fallen

Spoiler (click to read)

Despite a non-existing gripping storyline, and John Turturro's ass, this film was rather enjoyable. However, the final battle was a rather let down seeing how Prime destroyed his two enemies in a record breaking less than 2 minutes. The film a had slow start but a great build up, and it just fell apart at the end.
