Topic: Missing pieces in new sets?

Has anybody here had a problem with pieces missing from new sets they have purchased?

I have not had this problem in the past, but I recently ordered a LEGO Factory custom set, and it was missing 44 pieces, which was about 20% of the total order. Not a very high success rate! I also bought a new set recently, it was missing 1 piece and had about 1/4 of the set again in extra pieces. I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to have that many extras, not that I would complain about it if none of the pieces had been missing.

I got Market street for christmas and i was missing two peices and i had a couple of extra's of others.... I wasn't very happy

I bought the "new" soccer stadium a few years ago, and one of the most important pieces (one of the spots where the minifigs go.) was missing. The piece they sent to compensate was not only too big, but it was the wrong type! I was for a while.

That always happens to me! Im always missing at least 1 piece and its usually important.

Never happened to me, and I think that's a good thing.

If you miss a piece in your Set, just call LEGO-hotline (on www.lego.com )
I had the problem a year ago too.
I called them by phone, they asked me for a number on the package, where I bought it, and than they sended me the missing one - for free!!

So, if you miss a piece in your Set - just call by phone! Its YOUR RIGHT!
The Sets are expensive enough, and they know that.

Yeah, I should add that I did go through their online system to request the missing pieces, but it is supposed to take 3 weeks for them to arrive which is rather slow.

It's happened to me, but usually only one or two pieces. We just call up the LEGO company and tell what happened, then they always sent the piece(s) free of charge.

it happened to me once, with the batcave. it was missing half the bags.

I recently got a Star Wars Clone Wars set for Christmas and it's missing a piece.

I bought a town house, and it had alot of pieces missing, I was pee'd.

Its not just a problem in old sets. 8-9 years ago I got the castle from (the old(est)) knights kingdom series. 1/5 was missing. We also called Lego, but we got only the parts we had before...
