Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Snow White and the Seven Dwarves

You know, it's odd. I've recently started watching the old Disney movies a lot recently, and somehow, they've all gotten a lot better, and some also a little sad/depressing. This is one of the latter. Very good movie though.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

The First Deadly Sin

Oh man, that was painful to watch.
Also, I don't in any way know where the title of the film came into the movie, but that was not the most baffling thing.
Why, Mr. Sanitra, did you chose that to be your last movie?
Seriously, and if your squeamish, don't see this movie... in fact, no one see this movie, this thing was terrible.
The acting was great, but IMO, it made the movie worse. Too realistic, and also quite boring actually, the way it kept me awake was I kept thinking that very soon something exciting was going to happen. There were three (that's right three) exciting moments in this entire film. I totally thought there was going to be some huge mystery unfold before my very eyes. That was not at all what happened. You want to know how it ended? I'll tell you.

Spoiler (click to read)

Frank killed the murderer and turned in his badge at the end of the movie, but still nobody knew that it was him that killed him.
Oh, and on a completely unrelated note, his wife died.
Throughout the whole movie she was dying from a disease, and nobody could tell what the hell she was dying from.
It also contains an operation scene taking out her kidney (real flesh, folks!) that was unnecessarily flashed throughout a murder scene that was taking place somewhere else in the beginning of the film, I say again, this film is not for the squeamish.
Fay Dunaway played the wife, btw.
WTF, Fay?

A few bits were funny actually, but srsly, it's not worth seeing.

2.5/5

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey

lol, that was pretty delightful, and it wasn't the kind of awesomely epic delightful that the first movie was, it was just delightful. there were a few parts that were half decent (playing battleship, clue and twister with the grim reaper) but for the most part it was just insulting.

A few years ago I talked with my old social sciences teacher in school about this film. During the discussion he told me, that he couldn't listen to Beethoven anymore after watching this film. At least a few month. You have to love this film mini/smile

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

The Rocky Horror Picture Show

This movie was....um.....weird.

At first, the movie looks to be pretty dull, but then suddenly BANG - the Time Warp kicks in. I think this scene is the best 5 minuites in movie history (I could listen to "Its just a jump, to the left" all day). After that we get introduced to Tim Curry as a 'Sweet Transvestite, from traannnnnnn sexual translvania', which is more comedy gold than music masterpeice.

After that, it just seems like all plot is abandoned. A body builder guy called 'Rocky' is animated as a Frankenstein homage, but is used as Tim Currys husband. Next, a random biker comes out of a freezer, and starts singing a rock and roll track, but is murdered by Tim Curry with a pickaxe like instrument. Then a Proffesor arrives for some reason, and then suddenly all the protagonists are transformed into transvestites who sing sexual songs, ending with a actually moving solo from Tim Curry, and then the movie ends in shocking violence, which leaves us staring at the abrupt closing credits not knowing what hit us.

Though it picks itself up in the end, the movie does seem to stuggle throughout the middle, after exhasting its greatess at the beggining

...Wait, plot? What plot? From what I remember, there was no plot whatsoever. How can you abandon something that wasn't there in the first place?
