Ugh, one the Promotional Video, people are entering who don't make brickfilms.I think that when you said "LEGO videos", they meant just filming lego.
I watched this one guy who said they are entering's videos, and it had no background, bad quality, and all they did was take pictures of LEGO, and the video had no movement. They were just pictures, and there mic was fuzzy, I couldn't hear what they were saying!
You might need to give them a bit more clarification than 'it has to be a brickfilm'.

Ugh, this sucks, if I can't get any voice actors, I will have to do all of them myself, which will sound terrible.
Sometimes if you can't get actors in a thread you can get people by just asking via PM, sometimes people don't check the voice threads.

yes that and ask some relatives or friends to help you out! i got 4 voice actors from my casting call and the rest i am doing myself or asking family to do! another thing is... voice act for others and they will be more willing to act for you.

One reason for this promotional was to create more interest in Bricks In Motion, yes many film makers on youTube do not have the same standards for Brickfilms that we do, but I'm guessing more would be disqualified due to copy written music. If they do join, which I hope some will, please be nice, remember you were new once.

As in, new on the site.
Some new users may be new animators as well, contests with prizes tend to have a few debut films in them.

Wow the trailer was cool. WD on the space ship model and the CG backgrounds were mega. I wish I was able to do CG images that good.
I have part of my film set in space and creating the star field is an obstacle at the moment. I'm sure I'll get something figured out in time.
Currently I'm at about 50% complete after convincing some work friends to have a go at voice acting.

When you have finished your entry, you need to upload it somewhere like mediafire, then you need to PM smeagol using the PM button, and you need to give him a link to your film that you uploaded to mediafire.
To submit your film, send a private message in the BiM forums to username “STAR,” including your name and a link to download the entry. We will accept .avi, .mov, and .wmv formats, please include a version of the video that is 30 megabytes or less, though higher quality versions may be included as well.
Entries may not be made public before the deadline, so YouTube, Vimeo, and other such video websites will not be a good place to upload your film. We recommend uploading your film via a .zip archive to either your own hosting or a file hosting site such as MediaFire. (Here are some other free file hosting sites) Submissions may have been submitted to other contests or premiered for live audiences as long as they have not appeared for a public audience on the Internet.
To upload to mediafire, you need to click "Create a free account", sign up to the site, then click "Upload files" at the top of the site. You will then have the option to upload your film.

No, I haven't posted information for it yet. The hope is that people will focus on their actual movies. The trailer challenge rules will probably be posted in early July.
Can I use the Andy Griffith theme song or is that to copyrighted?
Some episodes of the Andy Griffith show are now in the public domain; however, I don't have a good way of knowing if the copyright has been renewed on elements like the theme song so I'd rather stay away from something like that.
yay i have got all the parts i need now just must make then actual film. was wondering what computers or laptops do you people own and what software do you use to make your films and edi them. i have a mac laptop and use istopmotion2 and imovie to edit my projects
no i just wanted to no what i was up against cause lets face it macs are so much better and i knew that all of you would be entering other wise you wouldnt be on here so. long live the mac
