I came across Game Music Themes recently while looking for articles about video game soundtracks, and it is a genuinely interesting resource. The site covers everything from the evolution of 8-bit music to modern orchestral scores and even the role of AI in music production. I found a really good piece on Woodkid's work on the latest Assassin's Creed soundtrack, and another one that digs into how drone metal shaped a recent intense game score. What I like is that the articles go beyond simple track listings and actually explore how music is composed, recorded, and used to shape gameplay. The piece on Jesper Kyd's approach to immersion was particularly eye opening. I also recently saw the aforementioned Lego Moon Knight The Man In The Mirror YouTube movie, and it made me think about how much music contributes to the mood of even non game visual projects.
