Hmm... this seems like a very interesting idea, it’s the first time I’ve heard of something like it, but it sounds cool. Depending on when it is in the spring, it might work better after most schools are out. Not sure how many people would go, depending on the virus status as well as the higher-end price (A lot of week long camps I know of are under $700, but I understand a camp like this would entail more of a cost). I know I would love to go, but alas, I live in Minnesota.

I'm not here to quash anyone's dreams, just giving perspective.  It's too niche and not many seem to be interested given the sporadic response here.

Have you gotten interest else where?  How does it look on the virtual front?

I'm not interested myself, but let's pretend I'm a prospective student.  Sell this to me.  What are your qualifications?  What can you teach me that a few hours on YouTube, Skillshare, Udemy, Coursera, etc. won't teach me at a cheaper price?  Why should I give money to some random person the internet that wants me to travel out of state to a building with other random strangers for a week?  Can't this be done virtually via video conference?  Am I the only underage student in a room full of 30-40 year olds?  Or am I the only 30-40 year old in a room of underage students?  Are you insured?  Is the building?  What are your COVID protocols?  I have peanut, shrimp, and water allergies, paraplegic and need an aide or service animal by my side 24/7.  Can you accommodate?

Thank you for these points Lechnology! I have gotten outside interest, which is why the entire thing was cooked up in the first place. I honestly don't know how it looks on the virtual front; that's why I'm asking for perspective here. I appreciate you taking the time to point out some good things to consider.

As to your networking question - admittedly not strong. This isn't a hobby for me (though I acknowledge and LOVE that it is for many others!), so I do come at it with a different perspective. Thanks again for your input!

Well, on that front, I'd say it is more doable and affordable.

From Zoom to Google Meet, you have plenty of options for a live video conference and you can host from your own home or office.  You can also record your sessions for later access.  All you need is a computer with microphone and headphones.  If you have presentation content, you just need to know how to share your screen/tab to the attendees.

The virtual approach gives you the opportunity to reach more people because they don't have to travel, they just need to have Internet and a computer.  Setting up multiple sessions on multiple days ensures flexibilities, too.  If you want to charge attendees, that's fine too.  Just make it reasonable and make sure the content you're sharing is uniquely yours (see the I-can-learn-about-it-on-YouTube note).

Lastly, I would say to also offer an entry-level course option, if you intend to expand on this, having an annual or seasonal Brickfilms Academy Camp-like course.
