Topic: Brickfilm Academy Interest
Hello peoples of earth! I am planning on running a brickfilming academy in the Denver, CO area this coming spring. It will be a week long, and attendees will stay on the campus with food and housing included. It will be for individuals interested in a serious pursuit of brickfilming/stop motion. Not an intro course, but more advanced techniques like cinematic lighting, artistic framing, lens selection, editing choices, advanced animation, etc. Attendees would have to bring their own gear (camera, tablet/laptop, software, Lego).
I will be teaching and leading practical hands on workshops. This is more of a guild type setting then a death by PowerPoint kind of thing. Over the 5 days attendees will actually create a short film with my guidance.
Do you have much interest in something like this? What would you specifically want included? Is a $1,200 price point simply unattainable for most? Bear in mind this is a professional development setting, and there are real costs to cover (campus, food, etc.). Target age range is 15-25, though older is a non-issue.
What are your thoughts? I'd love to hear them!
