Le Special Deux - The Second Course {Late THAC XVII}

YouTube

Originally intended as my THAC XVII film. Inspired by one of my all-time favorite previous THAC winners - Forlorn Creature's Le Special from THAC X.

In hindsight, this film turned out a little more derivative than I would have liked. Oh well. It was still really fun to do! mini/bigsmile

Wonderful film, shame it couldn't enter into the contest. It is very well animated. I particularly liked the use of all the different mustache faces to help convey emotion. It's a trick you don't see to often.

And of course, tributes and references are always wonderful! mini/lol

Yes, it's homemade, fresh from the toaster oven.

This is great, Dyland! I'm glad you decided to complete it despite not making the deadline. I like the attention to detail in the set design such as the table cloth, the salt and paper shakers, and the silverware.

While I'm not personally much of a fan of Le Special, I thought this film was significantly better.
Good job, Dyland!

Seriously, though. Thanks for all the kind & encouraging words. Although I wasn't able to make the deadline, I still had fun anyways.

That was my favorite part of the original film. mini/smile

That was so much fun to do. I really enjoyed the creative use of props in the original, and was happy to expand upon that with both Lego and non-Lego elements - something I've enjoyed doing in these past few films! (And something I hope to do more often in the future!)

Wow! Probably the highest compliment I could have received! Glad you liked this film. I really enjoyed Forlorn's original concept, and thought it would be fun to expand upon it here; seeing as how the chef had another "opportunity" to make Le Special again!
