This was beautiful. All those sets... mini/love

I would have to agree that the weakest part was the script, but I understand how it turned out that way with all the expectations and when it was written.

Great job overall, and I'm sorry you couldn't follow through with the distribution plan! mini/sad

Thanks Mighty Wanderer! I just saw that totally legit Toby Mac music video you did. Great work!

France and Alex, I regret to say that the French overdubbing was a part of our distribution agreement, and will no longer be happening. Sorry!

Good news for the French audience! mini/bigsmile
We just found out a French version of Bound on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qUjobxrPQJg

Don't know if you're aware of its existence, Mudskipper, but it's strange because it was released on Youtube on 25th April 2016, that is to say before you released your own English free version on Youtube...

Hmm. We weren't aware of this. I'm glad it's in French though! How does it hold up?

Re: Bound - The Epic Brickfilm

Bound has crossed 35,000 views! Thanks for the love community!

Re: Bound - The Epic Brickfilm

nice work. With all the pointed flaws I think it is/was actually a nice script considering you were a 15-years old guy at the time of writing it. As to the criticism, I think the forest floor could have been brought more to life with more plants - the sparse plant here and there were not very convincing. Either way, surely your perseverance is something to be admired.

The French voices fit very well, it seems to us they've been made by professionnal actors!
Too bad they didn't even tell you about it... But we're also glad about the existence of a French version, so that we can show it to people and kids around us.

And, by the way, a member of the French brickfilming community Brick à Brack wrote a nice article about Bound:

Re: Bound - The Epic Brickfilm

According to the discussion on brick-a-brack, bootleg French-language DVDs of the movie were sold in stores as early as before June of last year? Unbelievable. mini/madhead

Edit: and on Amazon! Looks like it was released in November of 2015.

Yes, Sméagol, really unbelievable... mini/eek

And curiously, since a few days, the official English version on Youtube (https://youtu.be/nttd12fL2Mg) has become viral! Already more than 100,000 views whereas it was less than 10,000 a week ago after 5 months on Youtube... Has the film been featured on a website with a huge traffic or something? Watching the statistics on Youtube should be very interesting to know where all those views (and comments) come from...
Anyway, we're glad for you, Mudskipper, you really deserve it, congrats! mini/bigsmile

Great film and a damn shame that Lego gets so petty with stuff like this. This is not the first time they have done this and I'm sure it won't be the last unfortunately. It is win for everyone who is able to watch this film and I hope this act by Lego does not discourage you from making epic films like this.
