Re: Introduce Yourselves
Hey everyone, I'm back after being gone for a year and a half. Hopefully I don't have any more of those long absences, I really enjoy this brick-filming community.
We are a friendly filmmaking community devoted to the art of stop-motion animation using LEGO® and similar construction toys. Here, you can share your work, join our community of other brickfilmers, and participate in periodic animation contests!
A place to discuss, share, and create stop motion films.

Hey everyone, I'm back after being gone for a year and a half. Hopefully I don't have any more of those long absences, I really enjoy this brick-filming community.
Welcome back! It's always nice to see someone return.
I've been around in the shadows of BIM for awhile now but never really introduced myself and I'm not really sure why but I guess I'll do it now
My name is Jeremiah Derby and I'm also known as Batmanjpd on YouTube. I am a huuuuge fan of Batman and I love reading the comics and making them into full length brickfilms. Speaking of brickfilms based off of comics, I made a 45 minute Brickfilm a year ago that was based on the graphic novel Batman The Killing Joke. This animation is what pushed me and made me a better animator. I am now working on a Lego Batman Series that will have 14 episodes in the first season and will be based on the famous Batman comic storyarc, Knightfall.
I really enjoy and love BIM and want to become more apart of the community.
I've been registered on BricksiMotion for about a year but never saw this thread until now.
My studio name is Aaron Soileau. I love DC and Marvel superheroes, but in particular DC Comics' The Flash. I love all things computers and am the unofficial free tech support in my family . My favorite music is classic rock and classic country, even though it's long before my time (a good 30 years). But above all, my true passion is brickfilming and my dream job is to become a brickfilmer for LEGO®. (I know, dream on right?) My favorite site for the topic is definitely here on good ole BiM.

Yeah. If you can spend seventy five dollars, I would get Stop Motion Pro SD. It's the full version except it exports in lower quality and doesn't support DSLRs. They have a ten day free trial on their site.. It's also important to have a good camera. A webcam like the C920 is a great choice. You can get a decent setup for under 200 dollars. Depending on how much you have.
Yes, that exact webcam is on my list. Thanks for the suggestion Weasel!
Just a newcomer here dropping by to say "Hi."
My name is Joyce and I am from Florida.
I am looking forward to having great interactions with you in the future. I guess that's it for now, you guys have a good day!
Hi, there, Joyce. I assume you're female by your name. If so, we're happy to see you, as we'd love to see more females involved in Brickfilming. It's a hobby everyone can enjoy!

Yes, I do feel that the brickfilming community definitely lacks a female presence, so it's always great to have people like you, Joyce!

Greetings to All! I am Gib. I am very new to Brickfilming, heck I just shot my first short in August. I always had an interest in brick films and decided to give it a go. I love seeing how you all share your knowledge with your fellow filmmakers. I look forward to learning from you all and honing my craft!
