Sorry about that... try it now. https://soundcloud.com/tenny1027/untitled-song-1
sounds really nice mate. I like it.
I haven't posed on here for a while, but for those interested, here's one of my latest compositions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IcDcPgUh41o
Jasper - Very nice piece. I don't recall hearing any of your music before, but I certainly look forward to hearing more in the future. My favorite part was the first time you brought in the drum set and electric bass. That's a really smooth groove.
Megagill - As always, well done. I liked that one non-diatonic chord you used in the intro, right before the main theme comes in; what was that? Also, (being a cellist myself) I particularly liked the middle section where the strings took over. The procussive-ness of those thick rich chords in the accompanying parts are quite effective.
For any beginners reading this: Listen to Megagill's music... this guy knows what he's doing!

For those who have seen 10 Cloverfield Lane, spot the similarities.
So I just finished a 7 minute long piece of music for a video I'm working on. I'm planning to release a shorter version to BandCamp.
Some lighter music this time: https://soundcloud.com/gabriel-ness-music/turtle-doves
Haven't posted on here for a while. So here's a piece of music which will be part of my film music portfolio for uni auditions this coming year. The music was scored to the causeway fight scene from Captain America civil war. Enjoy.

Yo, how expensive is your setup? Because it sounds so legit!
Well I've spent as little as possible on essential pieces of software and samples to make my music sound realistic. The composing work flow has also been greatly improved with the new software. I'm going to be studying film music at university, so aquiring new software will be very beneficial.
For those interested, the DAW I use is Cubase Artist. And the samples I use are Cinesymphony lite and Orchestral essentials.

That Captain America score sounds fantastic! Love the 7/8 section!
I did my first commissioned work accompanying some footage of statues which will hopefully be shown in the museum one day: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UfxbRWPtjgE

Had a blast recording it though.
You're music is so fabulous Guy Commanderson!
Keep up the great work;)
Sounds great Guy! How much was live recorded?
All of it, actually. When I do a soundtrack, I play live directly from a Korg Krome synth keyboard. I record from my speakers into a Blue Snowball microphone, and do some editing and alignment in Audacity. So everything from the Pipe Organ to the shredding guitar was recorded live.
Damn, I completely thought the guitar was legit. Sounds fantastic!
Although the Sight & Sound contest is now over, I am still working on my brickfilm "Scope," which was originally intended for the contest. Essentially an ode to the films of Alfred Hitchcock throughout 1950's and 1960's, the main theme is done to echo the style of Bernard Herrmann, whilst keeping the eerie atmosphere that one would expect from a Hitchcockian thriller. The theme draws from several scores of the late composer including this beautifully haunting section from the Psycho score, the prelude of Fahrenheit 451, and, probably most inspiring, the prelude to Vertigo!
Here's my theme, aptly titled Scope Prelude.
So, whaddaya think?
