Ah, nice. Like rio and Squash, you got me as well. Anyway, glad everything is safe and sound
Okay, so as of this morning I am just over 20% done with the mic scenes. My release estimation of May is looking pretty solid!
Thanks, rio!
This next week I will be away from home Monday through Friday, so I won't get much work done. The good news is I'm already 33.333...% done with all the mic scenes.
While I'm gone, entertain yourselves with this test I did a long time ago.
Toby Mac is amazing! This is gonna be awesome!
For those of you who didn't know, I messed around with some livestreaming yesterday while I filmed a couple shots. I might upload the hour and 12 minutes of footage to YouTube, we'll see.
In other news, I am 50.79365% done with the mic shots! Considering I started the mic shots at the beginning of April and have finished 50% already (including the 5 days I was gone last week!), I can even more certainly say this will be finished by the end of May.

What kind of rig are you using there? It looks pretty awesome.

I use a rig I built based on David Boddy's camera rig (You can see it in action here).
It's pretty amazing.
I have to say, there's some really good-looking set design and lighting here. Going by the pictures you've posted, you've managed to nail the overall style and feel of the original pretty well. I'm not sure I'm a fan of the music style itself (I'm more of a Classical/Jazz person, myself), but I do look forward to the results.
Also, not sure how far you're done animating, but it just occurred to me that this head would fit the main singer quite well.

Thank you!
You know, that would be a very good face. Unfortunately I'm over 80% done with this project as a whole and at this point I think it would be wise to stick with the face I'm using. xD That's too bad, though, I would have totally bought that face had I known about it.
Okay, it's been a couple weeks so I think it's high time for an update!
Sooooo.. the mic scenes are 80% complete! Just 13 left, which should be a piece of cake.
Before I release the final video I, first of all, need to film the opening shot of the pawn shop sign, and then I'd like to have a side-by-side comparison and a behind-the-scenes video prepared as well for release following the music video itself. I'm thinking, at the latest, I'll release it around the 28th of May (for a weekend release), so there's a tentative date for you guys!
I am really looking forward to this.
1 shot left, guys!
This is looking very nice! I can't wait to see the final result
me too!
Awesome! I can't wait! This looks like it is going to be awesome!
Thanks!
As of this morning, production is 100% complete! Most of the video is edited currently, I just have a few things to do before it should be complete. Due to the fact that I'm busy all weekend, and to ensure that a smooth release and that I have everything properly finished, I'm currently planning on a release on or around the 3rd of June (that weekend). So just over a week!
I can't wait! This is going to be amazing
