Woo hoo! The secret is out. That's some awesome looking animation there, I can't wait to see the final product, this is going to be some epic animation.

I'm glad to see a new project from you, Mighty! Everything looks great so far. The lighting, the camera movement, the set-all awesome. It looks like a substantial amount of work has gone into this and I look forward to the final music video!

Wow this is so cool! I had watched that music video a long time ago and liked it so much. And now seeing someone make it in Lego is like my dream. I am looking forward to the finished project. Also I love your pawn shop! By the way I was wondering what fps you are doing?

Oh man, it's been really hard. xD  I'm really glad I've stuck with it this far, I'm far past the point where if I had stopped working I wouldn't have felt like too much went to waste.

I'm not quite sure - I put the music video into Sony Vegas, and I'm animating frame by frame from there. I think the original runs at about 24 FPS, but I'm not positive about this (in the original video in Vegas, every 5 frames is a duplicate, which is weird). I'm exporting the shots at 15FPS from HeliumFrog, then speeding them up to match in Vegas.

To update you guys, I've been working on doing and re-doing the same shot since I posted this thread. I think I have 8 takes now, all of which aren't any good. I'm not too surprised, since it's the longest shot in the video at around 160 frames.

It took longer than I was hoping (a couple weeks longer, unfortunately, I sorely misjudged the workload xD ), but I am done with all the shots in the pawn shop!    Now I just have to do the microphone shots, which shouldn't be too bad, and then it's done!

I'd never heard of TobyMac, so I watched the original video today. I look forward to seeing yours If following the video well enough, it should work out perfectly. It's nice to see another brickfilmer recreating a music video.

As many of you know, I broke down the pawn shop set a few days ago.

What you don't know, and what I realized yesterday, is that I miscut the original video and missed about 40 shots. There are over 100 shots in the original, and after cutting what I thought was the whole video I copied those shots into a different Vegas file and started filming from there. At this point I'm considering not finishing the project, since it will take a really long time to rebuild the set and finish up the rest of those shots (it would probably take 2 months just to do the filming, not including rebuilding the set which will take a while seeing as I have to match it to the rest of the shots.

So yeah....

Well, if you don't feel like continuing, you can always just cut a shortened version of the video, maybe?
