Topic: New Marvel Series (possibly) coming to Freeform
Variety Magazine reports that two of my all-time favorite superheroes, CLOAK & DAGGER, will have their own series on Freeform (formerly ABC Family channel, and it's been a while since it lived up to that name).
Here's a link to the story:

I wrote a script for a brickfilm pilot a few months ago myself. If anyone enjoys the series and would like to animate their own Cloak & Dagger brickfilm, you can contact me on it. The screenplay in on theis BiM thread:

I wonder if 1) Spiderman will be in it, 2) It very closely will follow the comic book series 3) If it will have its own storyline, but will resemble the essence comic books (the one I most expect) or 4) they will totally ruin it like Michael Bay did with the Transformers movies. As long as it's not #4, I'll be happy. Also, the comic book began to stray away from the vigilante aspect and the Jack Bauer type questions it raised, and into a lot of fantastic Dr. Strange occultism. Now, if I want all that weird mystic stuff, I'll read Dr. Strange (and I do when that's my mood), but to me it didn't fit Cloak & Dagger because it has a gritty realism to it.
I also hope they keep the priest and the D.A. in the storyline, because they really were just as important characters as the heroes. I feel Freeform may be tempted to keep the priest out of the story entirely because having a religious figure as a role model seems to be a TV taboo today.
I've got lots of other questions, many of them having to do with character development & paralleling the storyline of the comic, (and... will it make it to TV; being greenlit means nothing) but I guess I'll have to wait and see!
UPDATE: It turns out that this was such a sudden move for FREEFORM that the series doesn't even have a writer. I WAN TO BE THAT WRITER!
