My family and I watched every film and enjoyed them very much! As usual, I was impressed that so many people could accomplish so much in such a short amount of time. I think this is the first year that every film I voice-acted in got finished. Great job, everyone! It takes not only story-writing and animating skills, but a lot of fortitude and perserverance, to compete in this contest. No matter who wins, you all should be proud! 
Can I add subtitles to my film after it is submitted?

Yeppers.
Never added subtitles to a film. Funny thing is, once, when I tried out the automatic subtitles on a film, it thought a beeping sound effect was the word "Hey", and the sound of a camera shutter was the word "church".
I added subtitles to Mailbox of Doom, and now my typos are immortalized forever.
Also in the credits of some of my films.

All I can say is: in terms of the quantity of high-quality entries, I think this is the best year of THAC by far. Fantastic work, folks.

Which means that this is going to be the most difficult year to get in the top 10. 
I am looking forward to having time to finish watching all the marvelous entries! (And the not-so-marvelous ones, but they are still quite spectacular)

Right. I've never had the strange sense, before, that so many of these films might have been 2nd or 3rd place on a different year.

I think that may have a lot to do with the contest theme this year. Within just 5 minutes after it was announced, I had an idea, and was able to stick to it for the next 20 hours!
One of the last THACs that I tried, THAC 11, I couldn't come up with an entry for the entire day...

Funny that you say that, 'cause it took me three hours to come up with an idea. To me it seemed that the theme was almost too specific at first. Once I had the idea, it flowed reasonably well and there is a remarkable number of entries with clever and original theme interpretations. All in all, a great year for THAC, I'd say.
Same here, although my reason for starting late was my indecision as to which idea I should've taken, as I bounced around between at least four scripts before finally settling on something (that ultimately didn't get finished in time, lol). But hey, lesson learned for next time, I guess.
I finally watched all the entries and I noticed two trends: a lot of inexplicable P's pasted around sets and on characters (like seriously, way more random letter mods than usual), and a lot of cheesy ham references to the theme (myself included). I was impressed by the lack of unironic uses of the work "peculiar" in scripts, it only happened a few times.

After my terrible placing in BRAWL in 2014 (33rd out of 44), I learned that mentioning the theme and taking a literal interpretation of the theme both seem to decrease your odds of placing well significantly.
I swear, every single year several people complain about the theme, typically contradicting each other with it being "too broad" or "too specific," or "too easy" or "too challenging," in reference to the same theme. It's an interesting phenomenon to me.
Although more people jumped to aliens! than I would have expected or perhaps preferred, I thought the theme did seem to foster better ideas than an average year.
I thought it was a good theme. Neither too specific nor obscure. It did take me a few hours to figure out what my story would be about. Alien abduction was definitely the first thing that came to mind, so I figured that would be too obvious.
