I've done that several times, I've learned to become super paranoid when proof reading title cards.

Also, happy stuff your face with turkey (unless your vegetarian of course) and pie day, everyone!

Re: Café Corner

Do you also have turkey for Christmas in America, or is that just a British tradition?

I think it depends on who you ask. My family always has lasagna on Christmas, but we're a bit weird that way.

Re: Café Corner

I don't typically have turkey on Christmas, my grandmother usually makes ribs, and they are delicious.

Currently doing some planning for a bit of a social experiment video that I want to do...

Re: Café Corner

Well, I know myself, someone who eats Chinese takeout on Christmas day. But we have the traditional roast turkey.

Re: Café Corner

For my area in the US, Turkey is more associated with Thanksgiving, while Ham is more associated with Christmas.
BUT, we're food-obsessed Americans, and my experience has been that usually both meats are at both holidays. mini/love

Re: Café Corner

As far as I'm aware, it's the whole US that's turkey for Thanksgiving, ham for Christmas; that's how it's always been for me.

Re: Café Corner

Though turkey is the norm, I've had ham for Thanksgiving. I've also never had a "Christmas dinner", there's usually just finger foods.

Re: Café Corner

Here where I'm from (not the US) we usually have turkey and ham for Christmas dinner. Maybe a bit of roast beef to supplement the roast potatoes and jam.
But aye, it all tastes good.

Re: Café Corner

I think I might be more excited for Star wars 7 than Christmas

I do not brickfilm anymore, but you can see my live action stuff here.

Re: Café Corner

As I've said, my Christmas is a great big roast turkey, followed by weeks of turkey sandwiches mini/smile

Re: Café Corner

When we host Thanksgiving at our house we get roast beef because that's what we like to eat. mini/tongue When we go to other family homes we get ham or turkey-whatever they like. To each their own.

EDIT: and turkey sandwiches (sometimes weeks later) are yummy too!

Re: Café Corner

Am I the only one here that doesn't eat meat on either Thanksgiving or Christmas?

Nah, same here.

Happy New Year!

Today is the first sunday of Advent, and also the Catholic New Year.  Some of the traditions for today are (at least in my house):

Wear purple
Go to church
light a single purple candle
Have a lovely dinner with loved ones

Catholic New Year always occurs four Sundays before Christmas. Have a blessed holiday!

Same with me, HoldingOurOwn. Church every Sunday.

Random thing I just figured out. If you print every page in an Excel spreadsheet, it totals at just over 72.2 million pages. I think my printer would break before it finished printing.

Re: Café Corner

I'm writing a live action short film inspired by Entourage, Arrested Development, Community, and Malcolm in the middle, which should give you a rough idea of the type of film it is. It's the most fun I've had, and I'm excited to finish it and then film it.

I've done one live action short before and learned from the experience. Any other tips people could give me?Like maintaining good cinematography?
