Looking back and pondering on this film while currently working made me realize that there's another element to this film which was not covered. Kind of a directory commentary of sorts.

When the "Celebration" contest was first announced, I knew right away what I wanted to accomplish…this film.
When the contest was first announced, my mom was visiting me from out of state for a few months (she had never visited California before, so I gave her a 'grand tour' so to speak). Time was quickly running out for me, but I didn't want to be disrespectful to my mom, I wanted her to have fun and enjoy herself. It was actually my daughter who sat down and told my mom about this contest, so mom encouraged me to get this done…even though there was only two days until the deadline!
The day before filming was going out and getting the C920, since I could not get the QC9k to work properly with iStopmotion at the time. Rushed home, did some camera tests and it worked perfectly. I literally made this film in 24 hours…building, voice acting, animation, editing, etc. Granted, there are a few things that I would have liked to have done differently if I had more time. But overall, I'm really happy with this film and how it comes across to the audience.

If I were to do a redux of this film, I'd like to film it in the style of one of one of Swoozie's films but in brickfilm form. Sigfig of myself talking to the camera with cuts of animated flashbacks. Something to 'compliment' what doesn't completely come across in "At the Party."
