Topic: The Outlaw: Truth Sequel (sci-fi noir action movie) Production
Hello everyone, you won't get rid of me so easily!
I'm back with a new long-movie project.
If anyone saw the end of Truth , more precisely the end credits, might remember that it was written that "Jake thunder will come back". In order to furfill that promise, I worked on doing an outline of what would this film be, there have been several versions, the first two were sequel ideas, another was reprising an old idea I had, "The Outlaw". "The Outlaw" was a film idea I already had around 2011-2012, and that actually inspired Truth's backstory aspects. The Outlaw's original story has been modified in order to make it become a Prequel to Truth. But I wasn't that happy with this version of what the movie would be, so I wrote a second-draft, different by many points of view from what the original story was.
After saying that, "The outlaw" as a final product will be a science fiction thriller, prequel to the film "Truth", but that is supposed to be seen after seeing "Truth". Also because of the project being set before Truth, and feature scenes that were flash-backs in truth, I will be including the newly recorded footage for outlaw, together with some re-shoots of specific scenes, some better special effects and new voicing in a new edition of Truth, a director's cut.
Moving on, the story of "the outlaw" focuses on Jake being chased by the ADU corporation in a futuristic, dark city.
I already started working on some scenes, and I have tried to improve what on other movies by me was partly the biggest issue, the animating skills. Also FPS will be augmented from 15 FPS to around 18-20.
For a really short teaser-sorta thing to show the animation level of the film, Here's the link to a two-part mini-short I've posted on instagram: https://instagram.com/p/7Vz-1WnA0k/ https://instagram.com/p/7V0LiJnA09/
Just as my previous movies got inspiration from real movies (E.g.:Stalker: Mirror of Conscience from the movie Stalker, Ad Tenebras from Tarkovskij's cinematography), The outlaw does that too, at least from a visual point of view: It's visuals are mostly based off Blade Runner. Also there many flashbacks, wich form a secondary story that ties in with the principal plot, similarly to how Christopher Nolan's film work.:)
This film won't be out until a really long time, I'd said maybe even a year. I'm not sure how long would it come to be, maybe around the usual 12-15 minutes my films are, maybe longer, it might even reach 20+ minutes.
Finally, here's an early shot from the film (Note that this doesn't represent the look and lighting level of the entire film, most of the film will be much darker.)
