Some Tests I did
You're definitely improving!
You should probably be more careful when animating the "TV" so the frames don't have the device UI on top of them. Other than that, I like the TV. The driving test was great. The lighting test seemed too dark in the foreground, and too bright in the back. Maybe instead of using the colored white cardboard, you could use dark blue, black, pink, or orange paper (pink or orange for a sunrise/set) and give the main set a tiny bit of bounce lighting so it's not so dark, it's hard to see.
While the super-speed test works, I personally don't think the clay is the thing to use. You have the concept down though. I'd use LEGO bricks instead of clay for the "super speed", because LEGO minifigs are so square and plastic, that the glob of clay (which is round-ish and not the same consistency) doesn't sell the effect.
Keep up the good work!
Thanks! I thought the UI was gone but then noticed it ![]()
Yes, there is a definate improvement there. I've never used the TV effect in any of my films to date, but I plan to in the future. However, I did a similar technique when animating my magical mirror in my Haunted House Series.
