Topic: Fercium: Genetic Brothers CGI Production Log

I will keep updating this thread at least every once a week. I will mostly post my 3D concept and lighting renders here and maybe few screenshots of the film itself if anyone wants. I also might post some music for the film I have made.

So far this is all I have made for my film. (The last one might need some tweaking)

Also feel free to ask me questions mini/wink

Re: Fercium: Genetic Brothers CGI Production Log

I'm impressed with the models. Goodjob on creating them, especially in a 3d program. The lighting is also very nice, however, as I've said before, the grain shouldn't be there. If you're using Blender, try increasing the Gather samples. I may be wrong, but I believe that is how I got rid of grain.

I'm really glad you like this. When I render preview images, I usually turn down the render samples, so the render time per frame would not exceed over 10min. The final render will be almost without grain. Just a small amount to simulate film or camera noise.

Re: Fercium: Genetic Brothers CGI Production Log

The lighting and colors are really pretty. The atmosphere of the music is really nice, too. Looking forward to an animated version with less grain.

That frame looks very good. I really love the glow those blue studs have. Also the reflection is much better now.

Re: Fercium: Genetic Brothers CGI Production Log

If not for the hair, I wouldn't have thought this was CGI.  Well done.

Nice frame, although the hair is not reflective enough. Also, what program are you using for composing the music?

Re: Fercium: Genetic Brothers CGI Production Log

I can't really say which one I prefer. They both look good, in my opinion. However, the more reflective hair looks more like actual LEGO, so keep it that way.

Yeah, I think the same...

Re: Fercium: Genetic Brothers CGI Production Log

That looks awesome! I really like the more reflective hair.
