Thanks for the feedback, everyone. If I do end up doing another silent film, I'll keep in mind what you guys said.
GHB - I really like the t5i so far. It takes super clear pictures and is easy to start using. A couple of things I don't like as much is how much harder it is to do camera movements (but obviously, not impossible), the size (much larger than my c920), that I have to worry about hair being seen (have to dust the characters off between the frames), and that I don't have onion-skinning in EOS Utilities (how I do frame capture, now). If you do get a dslr, I would highly recommend also buying an ac adapter, in order to not worry about your battery dying in the middle of a shot. If you want to know more, PM me.
