With the announcement of the BiM summer contest this morning, I thought I'd go ahead and make a production topic for all things related the the making of our entries. Feel free to share story ideas, behind the scenes pictures, and whatever else along the way.

I'll manage to get a solid idea by August 31... 
Hoping I can enter, but at this point I'm not sure I can, given that I still have much to do for my current Brickfilming project. Still, I'm really excited about this contest and definitely will be watching this topic!
I'm excited to make something. I'll start late June or early July though due to other time constrained projects.
Working on a solid story right now 
One day in, and I have my story. The outline is done. The characters are fleshed out. I'll start writing the script later and host an audition.
After reading over the contest info and thinking long about if I'd be able to finish a project to the quality I'd like to see for the contest I've made the choice to do my best and enter, even if I fail. A smart man once said "Failure is the bridge to success" and in my mind that is the best way to learn film making, is by trying your best and failing. Anyways I wish everyone planning on entering Good luck and I'll come back soon with an update on what I've been working on.
Just finished the first draft of my script. I don't think I have ever struggled that much writing one before. Hopefully it turns out good

I need to actually start thinking up ideas for this, though. Before I know it, it's gonna be over!
Still working on the script, probably not going to use voice actors.

First two months: idea phase
First week of last month: scripting
second week of last month: waiting for voice acting
Third week of last month: Animate a little
Final week: actual animation phase
Final hours: rush edit and upload.
Joebor1777 and I have a story in mind, and he's started doing some lighting concepts (which look great). Going to do some more planning before I actually script though.

I think I've actually got a pretty good idea going for this, though! So hopefully I can flesh this out and be done scripting by the end of the week.
I published this Sunday on my youtube channel a brickfilm based on european and medieval witchcraft and folklore. It is in french but I am actually translating the dialogues and titles.
After that, I will make a Call casting for anyone who is interested!
I wrote a script, built some minifigs, and hope to start filming soon. I'm so excited for this contest!

Spent this morning trying to build a good spotlight rig. This is decent, and adjusts well, but occasionally the ball joints slip, and if you knock it hard enough it'll tumble off the table leg thing that it's sitting on. It's a work in progress. 
Did some other lighting tests today, and got fresh batteries for the flashlight. And I have a slightly different story idea that I may run with. Got the basic movement of the plot down, and the end scene, just need to fill in the details.
And if ya'll need help with voice acting, let me know. I ain't that great, but I am willing to give it a shot.
oops... Ive did a topic for my entry... what should I do? Can I go on there or should I move it somehow here?
