Topic: short walk test with reaction

This is just a short practicing on the walk cycle as its been a little time since I last animated, and with a reaction to a freaky sound!

Hope you enjoy, any feedback is much appreciated!

Re: short walk test with reaction

The walk isn't bad at all!
It looks a tad jerky, but that's only because it's missing the "both legs straight down" frame.
You may wanna add that position to the cycle and see how it looks.

As he turns, he doesn't turn that smoothly, and seems to stop rather suddenly.
If he was reacting to the noise, the turn would probably be improved by being quicker, with a more eased out ending.

Once the camera angle switches, the frame rate seems to lower, and he bounces back and forth a lot. Make sure he's moving in a certain direction, and only in that direction. Jumping back for a frame can ruin the entire motion.

You're getting better, and it's tests like these that will help you even more.

Hey Pritchard,

Thanks for the great feedback, I'll be sure to try adding in that stance where both feet are down.

Yeah thats a good point, his turn was rather moderate given the situation, I'll be sure to tune it up more the next time giving it a quicker reaction with an ease off at the end.

The frame did continue at 15fps, but I understand what you mean, pretty much the close up and the movement was him loading the shotgun. I have to practice that especially when jumping frames as you said, it can ruin the entire motion which is a great point.

Thanks man, I do appreciate that a lot, its also feedback from you and other members that provide me these incentives and tips on how to improve my brick film.

Sincerely,
Divine.
