Re: My LEGO Brick Film Walking Simulation Test

Not bad! I think that the arm movements in all of them could use some work, as they all seemed too choppy. As for the leg movements, I like them all. The last one was especially unique and not seen often. Never animate on 2s, though, as it gives it a very choppy look. Always use more frames instead of using 2s.

As for the test video itself, it got a bit long and boring, not because of the animation, but the pauses between each test, and the beginning and ending.

Sorry if that sounds like I criticized every point of the video, but I actually to really liked watching it once I fast forwarded a bit. mini/wink

Keep up the good work! mini/bigsmile

Ditto

I thought it was a bit boring too. TestBot's voice takes too long and is quite monotonous, the voice would suit something like a talking house or a phone (like Siri) but not a robot in the shape of a human. The tone wouldn't suit with hand gestures. I'd recommend changing TestBot's voice, or his physical appearance or just not do any body gestures.
As for the test, they were nice and simple. The only problem I had was the arm swings, when one arm swings foreword, the other should swing back to give a more fluid motion. Yes, the arm did swing back but it stops moving when it reaches the waist, it should move a bit more back. When something stops moving, it has to slow down, in the test, the arm just suddenly stopped. Learn 'easing in and easing out' and 'anticipation' to achieve better arm swings. Good Luck

I feel like I'm bashing the test, so I'll give you some positives. Nice transformation and background transition. They were different to what I usually see, but 'different' in a good way. The lighting was consistent and had barely any set bumps.

Re: My LEGO Brick Film Walking Simulation Test

Not just the walking, I loved the entire video, including the special effects.  The only part I could do without is "subscribe, share, like" promotion.  I hate when that's in otherwise very good videos.  If people like the video, they will do that anyway.

I don't really have anything to add that hasn't already been said. The actual walk cycles looks great, just make the arms swing back after the minifigure takes a step. mini/smile
