The Food Chain THAC XII
My entry into THAC XII. It's not very good, but I really wanted to try something with puppets. That was probably a mistake as I couldn't animate them as well as I would have liked. Also the subtitles are WAY too fast in some areas, so I apologise for that.

I'm not sure if it was supposed to be, but I found this kind of funny. At first it was sweet, but the animation style and the part after the blue dinosaur falling over had me grinning.

I think it is cool how you attempted the large-scale puppetry for THAC, that's quite the task. And you pulled it off really well - the animation was a bit choppy, but it was still pretty good given the time constraint and the scale of the figures. I really think this could have benefited from having some sound effects, but I'm assuming you ran out of time to add any. Still, it was an fun film otherwise.

Thanks a ton! I was going for the comedic route, especially with the last couple of lines 
Sound effects were always planned on, but by the time I was done with animation I was completely exhausted. The puppets were super difficult to animate since they were so unbalanced

It's funny you mention that, because it was actually my initial idea to have the Blue Dinosaur die in a meteor impact along with many other dinosaurs, and the Red one would be left alone. But the practicality of the meteor and having other dino's and also building more sets drove me away from the idea.
I may some day work on a better version of this film since I like the idea so much, and the puppets are so fun (and infuriating) to work with

You probably should have had some sounds for the dinos just so there wasn't so much silence. Even some silly grumbling and odd noises would have been nice, even if cheesy, they might have been funny and added to the film. I really wish you had asked me to do that. I would have totally been up for that.
But hats off to you for animating huge non-minifigures.

Yeah, I really regret not putting in sound. I add it up to poor will power, and lack of sleep
In hindsight, I really do wish I'd put in some sounds, but oh well... I'll be sure to take you up on that offer next year!

You've already explained why you couldn't include sound, but I have to agree that not including sound greatly hurt this otherwise nice film. I didn't care for the plot, but I was quite impressed that you decided to tackle brick-built puppet animation for THAC. I particularly liked the head bobbing during the walking. Now that THAC is over, you should definitely experiment more with puppet animation.
I thought I commented on this film already, but since I didn't, here it goes.
It's a great film. Like everyone else said, I applaud you for use of brick-built puppets, especially in a 24 hour time constraint. Everything else that could be said has already been said, so I'm not going to repeat it, but I do want to say great job. 
Props to you for tackling LEGO puppets! I have to admit I liked the use of the lamp to simulate sunrise/sunset, even if it was a little shaky at times.
I think the only suggestion I could offer that others haven't already was to pace the subtitles out better. That last line about
being a vegetarian
flew by on my first viewing and as a result I had to reverse and pause the video.

Yeah... I didn't animate enough for the subtitles to work well (especially that last one), which is really unfortunate because it was meant to be the punch-line
