THAC XII Test Montage

A test montage I made in order to ready myself for THAC XII (12) and to familiarise myself with my new animation equipment. Enjoy, and feel free to ask questions!

Maybe this would better be suited in the WIPs and Tests forum. EDIT: Wow, it was moved while I typed this. mini/tongue

As for comments on the film, I couldn't get over the fact that you have a Nexus Astronaut and I don't! mini/tongue There was a bit of light flicker, but that will probably be resolved if you have a real set instead of a piece of cardboard. mini/wink

Nice animating, although a bit over-exposed (unless that was your intention...). What equipment did you get?

Re: THAC XII Test Montage

A lot of the lighting looks a bit overexposed and I think you listed your dolly move as a pan, if you took one frame out of your walk cycle it would work a little better, right now it looks like they are stopping every step

Yeah, I'm pretty happy about having a memento of LU, and I find that he's a pretty cool mini fig for tests, since I don't have much of any other use for him.

Nah, it wasn't really intentional to have it so bright. I just got the c920 for Xmas and got it to work with my mac with full manual controls. Although a webcam isn't a step-up, per say, from my powershot, it does have live-view... which makes animating a ton easier.

The over-exposure comes from my inexperience with the manual controls mini/tongue  But I gotten decent lighting out of it after the making of the tests, just my luck mini/smile

Oh, thanks for pointing that out to me!

As for the walk cycle... it could be because he is stopping... mini/smile Thanks for the feedback! I'll be sure to do that during THAC.

Re: THAC XII Test Montage

As others said the lights was over exposed. During the walk cycle the arms needed an extra frame or two to make it smooth. It's just looked liked they jerked every time he walked. Other than that, I really like your sword tests, they were pretty cool, along with that Nexus figure. Memories
