Topic: Space Muzzle test

I made a very small test just to play around with a few elements in After Effects and such.

I uploaded to my Flickr page, I made it around a month ago, though I'd thought It'd be nice to share here.
The Muzzle contains stock from Video Copilot's Shockwave pack. I through together a random sound effect to go with.

Another thing to note is the background is Green Screen, not that well done but the best I could get at the time, also there is an overlay of a film burn that I decided to  add just to add a more surreal look.

Criticism is welcome

That... was... weird. No offense, you did ask for criticism. mini/wink Honestly, the gun flare looked strange, and not much like a gun flare at all, and the overlay looked like a generated texture that was too smooth to be animation, so it was very distracting. The lighting was soft, though, and I liked that about it.

Only way to get better right mini/wink

The strange look was kinda how I wanted it to look, to get a more of a futuristic out-of-this world feel, granted there are a lot more I could have added to it to enhance it and make it more of a gun flare.

Yeah I see your point from the overlay,.

Cheers!
