Im thinking number one. But it might help if the big fire pieces come up faster.
I like them all. It all depends on the mood of your film, and what the fire is reacting with. For example, number 1 seems to be a fire on some gasoline or something because it is so large, Fire 2 seems to be burning on a windy day, Fire 4 is more subtle, and could be used in a torch on a wall in a cave, and Fire 5 would work better if the fire were moving, like along a stream of gun powder or something instead of standing still.
With that being said, my personal favorite is #1. But only on the medium-sized fire pieces. I think the speed of the animation is perfect for every-day use. (like a campfire, maybe).
#1 looks better but without context - hard to tell. House on fire - great. Camp fire with sing songs - not great!!
#2 and 3 looked the same to me. #4 was about to give me seizures.
Somewhere between 2 and 3 for a regular fire would look great. The first one looked awesome for lighting a fire! ![]()
Thank you for all your advices about this test!
But Rioforce has the most interesting advice: using a specific fire animation for a specific situation...
