Touching, and pleasantly designed & animated. I love the creative framing of a disc piece as a ball.
Thanks HOO. I was going to use a normal round brick with a stud and then had that flash of inspiratiob just as i was about to start shooting. Very last ninute ides.
It's nice to see a new film at a pretty relaxed pace. I thought it was well executed and I like how the title has a double meaning. The camera movements looked great too but I found the footstep sounds a tad distracting; I think they should be more of a dull thud than a sharp click.
Thanks Rio - Thanks Silly.
The footsteps were an experiment. I used them on a test audience and they said nothing about it so I stuck with it. It is personal taste but I think I agree with you and will use a different effect going forward.
Oh, were those footsteps? I though they were remote clicks from the boy playing video games...
If you're looking for some LEGO sound effects, I recorded some a while ago, and uploaded them public domain to Freesound.org. You can check them out here:
Something cool has happened!
I use Stopmotion Pro software to make my films and the Stopmotion Pro company featured my short in their monthly newsletter and on their blog. How cool is that!
