Topic: Snow on the ground - best soloution?
I know this has been asked before, because I used the search before I came here to make the new topic, but my question was not answered, because all of the topics either were dealing with falling snow CGI, or nobody had ever animated ground snow before, so they were just guessing. However, I did learn a bit from my search, so it was not in vain, but anyway, let's get to the point:
I want to animate snow on the ground, and don't own enough white LEGO bricks, so what is the most practical way to make fallen snow in an animation? Sugar? Flower? Baking Soda? Salt? Some mysterious element that has not been put on the periodical table of the elements yet?
If anyone has ever animated with any of these substances, I'd like to know your opinion on it. Is sugar sticky? Does baking soda leave a fine white powder on everything and accumulate in cracks and crevices? Is the mysterious element radioactive?
I'm planning on doing this for my Christmas film, which I am going to work on this month, so there's not too much of a rush, but don't wait until January to answer, cause it'll be another year by then ok?
Thanks!
