Ever lose a very important notebook or script? :C
Still looking…

(The notebook in question contained scrips for MMII and the 'romantic film' project I was still writing.)

When I went on a road trip to Brickflix where I met Sonjira and Aquamorph I wanted to bring my notebook so that I could work out the exact details of Faloovian vampire politics, but I had just moved and lost it so I went without it and just sat thinking to myself for about nine hours.

Luckily I did find it later though.  I always keep it in the same spot now that it's filled next to my not filled notebook.  I would hate it if anything happened to that one since it has some important things like Rimtext, Pairgrim's text, and some details of a very important equation.

If anything happened to my hard drive I'd be even more upset since I keep all of the details of Riigo-Faloo in there.  Character lists, descriptions, names, places, notes.  I really need to back that up.  Too bad I don't know how to get this gaffergan external drive to work.

I hope you can find it.

Re: Café Corner

Thanks guys.
Still no luck yet. Tore up the computer desk looking for it.
I still have the two most important notebooks, but the one which had completed/semi-completed scripts is missing.
It's been while since I cracked open this notebook, so there could be other important scripts I've forgotten about.
Goes to show, clean the whole house….lose something important.
I just hope it didn't get thrown out by accident while cleaning.

One minor longshot though…
Back in the day, my intention was for Richard Frost to voice act in MMII. So, I emailed him a copy of the script.
I messaged Rstudios today. He's on the hunt for it.

Granted, this won't be the entire notebook, but hopefully one script could/will be safe. I hope?

Re: Café Corner

I was feeling some brickfilm related nostalgia today and I thought I'd drop in and say hello. Not sure if anyone remembers me. Well, that's all I had. Really nailed this post.

Re: Café Corner

Oh wow, another return! Hi Krick! It's good to see a post from you again. I still watch and love your films.

Re: Café Corner

All these returns are doing two things: Making this website breifly awesome again, and making me feel old.

I have a job now and my film equipment has slowly fallen into disrepair. My only hope for more Krick Films is to have many socially maladjusted sons to carry on the family legacy.

You're the reason I started brickfilming dude, don't think you can be forgotten that easily. mini/wink

It's not a cult, it's a family!

Re: Café Corner

So...I haven't animated anything in the last 2 years and I really haven't been a part of the community for 3. I was really active from 2008-2011 but my interest in animation just dwindled. After coming back to BiM for my annual checkup and seeing the enthusiasm and community still here I really am thinking about getting back into animation. Granted, it might be hard to find the time while studying at university now, but I think it will be fun nonetheless. Not entirely a great contribution to the Cafe Corner, but just thought I'd mention that it's good to see the BiM forums still active after all of these years!

It's also good to see so many of the same faces from 3 or 4 years ago!

Persist.

Re: Café Corner

Hopefully I can animate something this weekend. I'm already getting excited for THAC (which is in a month and a half).

Great to hear END.
I thank him for his service.
By the way, what branch is he in?

He's a navy chaplain and was on a carrier. Being a navy chaplain he has been a chaplain for both the coast guard and the marines as well in the past.

Re: Café Corner

We welcome him home and are happy for his safe return.  I have a loved 1 in the navy too.

Re: Café Corner

Soooooo I have an essay to do over Christmas (well, one of two) about film adaptations, so what do I decide to do? Compare Tangled and The Matrix. It does make sense, and at the same time I think I've just kicked myself in the shins. Twice.

(incidentally, my reasoning is that they're two different ways fairy tales have been transcoded for modern sensibilities, but it still feels like a weird essay)

Finishing up another animation. (FINALLY.) Time, if only we all had more of it.
