Finishing up another animation. (FINALLY.) Time, if only we all had more of it.

Time, if only I wasted less of it.

I actually made some progress on Darkmoor today though, so that's something.  Just need a few more things and for Wilson to do those paintings.

Progress is good! I am THIS close to releasing mine. I am very interested to see the response on this one. It isn't a comedy (or in my case, a poor attempt at comedy) this time. Decided to stray towards the "artsy" side... mini/eek

Redbrick-it's cool to know you're trying something new.

And... perhaps "artsy" and "stray" aren't that different as they are comprised of the same five letters in different sequence. mini/smile  When one strays from what they know they are blazing a new path and should be encouraged.

Have fun.

Re: Café Corner

In the last 3 years I made, with some friends, a live-action movie. We tried to make a blu-ray disc this week, which took about 5 hours to write, and yesterday we finally saw it, mainly to be sure that we didn't waste all that time for nothing.
I saw the movie a million times before, but god, watching it in blu-ray was like looking at it for the first time... it was gorgeous, beautiful, I didn't know our movie had that quality, we never thought it was even possible for it to have that quality, especially since it was all shot with a mirrorless, not even a reflex.
Can't imagine when it'll be shown in theater (we're renting a cinema for one night), it'll probably feel like hearing it for the first time too, since we could never watch it with proper speakers for now.

In a theater? Cool stuff! It should be neat hearing all of the little audio nuances you worked on for the first time.

Well, I haven't found the notebook…yet. While cleaning up the desk, I found a notepad.
This notepad had a partial script and scribbled out storyboard of a winter contest idea.
I had forgotten all about it. Kinda interesting.

It's my birthday today! mini/bigsmile

While the date isn't as convenient as last year, where we had a snow day, I still had a whole lot of fun with friends and family!

If you run a dual boot, be prepared to screw with the bootloader and partition flags for an hour or two.

I don't plan on doing that, so I should be ok. I hope. BTW, I want to thank everyone who has given me feedback and stuff on my most recent film. I had planned on this being my final brickfilm, but the reaction it has gotten has pushed me to consider making a couple more. (No other film I have released here has gotten this much attention, so.... yay!):D

Re: Café Corner

We made it. Yesterday has been a fantastic day. Finally we saw our movie on the big screen, and the cinema was full of people... we expected about 50, they were more than 150. Best of all: they even liked the picture!
And then, this morning we also appeared on the newspaper.

Re: Café Corner

Sounds like it went really well, congratulations! mini/wink

Congrats on the big success! Onward and upward!

After reading the plot synopsis, I'm also intrigued, but it also reminded me that I've yet to see Fargo. Time to remedy that!

Re: Café Corner

It's always cool when you get to see your film on a movie screen.  I had the opportunity to do this once with one of my 5 minute hand-drawn animations.  It's really a whole different experience.  I'm glad they loved your film.  Hopefully it will inspire you to even higher goals!
