Yes, that was pure win! Awesome work, Dylan! Even better than the original!

Have you seen a big-chinned boy?

Re: Pokeballin' 2

That was absolutely insane. Although I don't think it was as funny as the first one, the technical prowess on display here is incredible. The way you used various brick built models for the same characters in order to emulate a variety of cartoon styles is amazing, and the animation is top notch. Really great work, and worth the wait. mini/smile

Re: Pokeballin' 2

Great comedic timing. I love the cartoon-style approach to the animation. It seems unique among brickfilms, as far as I am familiar, and the execution is really good. Incredible work.

I almost expected Vera Lynn to start playing at the end.

Your two biggest Pokeballin' fans…(my kids)….were in hysterics while watching this.

Great job. Loved the exaggerated expressions. mini/smile

Re: Pokeballin' 2

This is amazing work!

I LOVE the animation in the scene starting at 0:27 - it is incredibly well done. It perfectly fits the character and the tone of what he is saying.

Amazing!

Whoa.... mini/twitch
Mind...blown.

That was amazing. The great animation, the unique brick-built characters, and the crazy plot all combine to make this a masterpiece. It wasn't quite as funny as the first, but the scale and ambition was much bigger. You knocked this one out of the park, and even a non-Pokemon guy can still find great fun in this.

Re: Pokeballin' 2

This is just wonderful. This is probably the most successfully I've seen a brickfilm pull off an "anime" action style. The large-scale figure animation is fantastic (the facial expressions and mouth movements are perfect, as are the transitions from the more detailed models to the flatter ones as their moods changed), and I loved the humor and timing.

My only complaint...what the hell kind of sequel is shorter than the original? mini/tongue Still, amazing work, Dylan.

Thanks for all the great replies, I had a lot of fun putting this together. Production was unlike anything I've done before with all the character models and I'm so happy to hear you guys liked it. It's been too long since my last video release. I've got some school work to catch up on but I'll be releasing behind the scenes and some VFX breakdowns in the near future.

Also, I'm having a little Twitter giveaway! You can win your choice of 4 Pokeballin' 2 posters by retweeting/favouriting this tweet.

Ahah, I know! As production moved along I started to realize it was going to be a bite sized brickfilm, but the density of imagery made it difficult to extend much longer. I'm hoping to make some longer animations in the near future (3-4 minutes), as I haven't done much of that beyond music videos. Once again, thanks everyone! I love all the feedback.
