Topic: LEGO Star Wars Utapau Troopers Stop-Motion Animation Build.

Hello, my friends!  Just wanted to share this build video I made of the LEGO Star Wars Utapau Troopers:

Still learning to get it right.  I am still getting some light flicker, even though I have all my camera settings on manual.  I am shooting in our window-less basement and I wear black during the shoot.  I probably will switch the CFL bulbs that I have on my desk lamps with incandescent bulbs.

This also was my first attempt at using Adobe After Effects to put together the image sequences from Dragonframe.  Final edit was still made in iMovie; I was trying out Adobe Premiere Pro but was having a bit of trouble with the interface.  I will still play around with it so that I can use it for my next video's editing.

Please let me know what you think.  I'm still thinking of a story to animate so I am resorting to simple stop-motion builds just to get a hang of how things are to be done in LEGO stop motion.  Thanks!

The stop motion is very nice (especially with the danbo in the intro. mini/wink )
But the problem is, the sound effects & the voices seem very annoying and all you frankly need is just music; I noticed that you have the iMovie default "yay" sound, and it gets annoying. The walk cycle is also something you need to work on, but I don't see any things that need to be changed in animation, frankly.

I like what you did with the mini-figs.  I always try to make my figs look alive and personal and I think you did that very well.  You should keep that aspect going forwards if you continue to do 'build' flicks.

Thanks for the feedback!  Yup, those are default iMovie sounds.  I see what you mean by it getting over-used; I shall try and build a better sound library to avoid that, or maybe just add a music track.  Thanks for the feedback on the walk cycle as well.  I was trying to play around with the stock mini-fig walk cycle by adding another frame of movement during the stride pose.  I shall work on that too.
