Topic: Ideas.lego.com: My rejected idea [Part 2 begins @ post 20]
My friend Nick and I submitted some figures to ideas.lego.com based on Cartoon Network's "Regular Show". It took 11 to 12 days of review before it was rejected (their website says 3-5' they must be busy). The reply stated that the franchise isn't acceptable. Here are the guidelines listed that it violated one of:
Politics and political symbols
Religious references including symbols, buildings, or people (this one is dumb)
Sex, drugs, or smoking
Alcohol in any present day situation
Swearing
Death, killing, blood, terrorism, or torture
First-person shooter video games
Warfare or war vehicles in any modern or present-day situation
Racism, bullying, or cruelty to real life animals
I actually didn't think this was so bad considering that the Simpsons is a franchise they sought out themselves. I didn't see where RS was worse than the Simspons in any of the above areas. Oh, well. Not complaining or upset with them for rejecting (time to build something else); just posting because I'd love to hear your thoughts. And: go!
