Re: Lego Doctor who Day of the Master

Gah, too much post-production camera movement.
The idea behind the Master's return was nice, but there were a lot of aspects of this that were just good.
The effects, the animation, the sets, nothing was bad, but nothing stood out as great either. The voice acting wasn't that good, and I feel the characterization was off a bit. The title sequence was a better good, but the fonts could have been more accurate.

This overall seems to follow the general trend of Doctor Who shorts. 6-7 minutes long, decent but not notable production values, and voice actors that just don't quite cut it. And while the end scene was meant to be a homage to the The Last of the Time Lords, I couldn't see how the Master's body survived the ship implosion.

There are some good spots though, the clever way you brought the Master back shows that you actually pay attention to the show. And it's good to see another Doctor Who short. The different references were nice too.

Hope you don't take this negatively, it wouldn't take much improvement to push the production values up a bit more, so a bit of practice and patience should do the trick. And even now you've been featured on Doctorwhotv.co.uk.

Re: Lego Doctor who Day of the Master

Thanks Pritchard, and don't worry I appreciate the constructive criticism. I noticed myself that the beginning had a strong start but the story started to loose it's way. I'm hoping to improve this in my next episode (which I still need to write and come up with a nice idea).
Thanks
