Topic: Wannabe WIP

Some test shots for my upcoming music video parody. Some scenes were lit wrongly but I was more concerned with the frame rate for this one. I am also experimenting with using 'choppiness' to create more rigid and freaky characters.

Constructive comments will be appreciated (and will also get a Like and Sub from me)... not sure if this is allowed, if not can the-powers-that-be help to edit this part.

Re: Wannabe WIP

crank up the movement. It was just awkward watching it with such a high frame rate and so little movement. Other than that the camera movements were good.

A Life? Cool! Where can I download one of those from?

Re: Wannabe WIP

I will try that. Thanks.

Re: Wannabe WIP

I really liked the camera movements, especially that curved truck-shot. Like you said, the lighting wasn't very good in certain shots, but in others it was pretty cool. Try to keep the lighting, but especially the white-balance consistent. (Unless it's meant to be flashy.)
One of the things that bother me was when you could see over the top of the sets. Other than that, I like it.

This is very helpful. Thanks. mini/smile

What is white-balance? Or maybe I can just google it....

Re: Wannabe WIP

White balance is how the colour white appears in your footage. You can test this by putting something white, like a small stack of paper (just a few sheets) in your shot. Does the paper appear to be tinted blue? If so, the white balance needs to be adjusted to be "warmer" (closer to yellow) to equal it out, until the paper appears white. Does the paper appear tinted yellow? Same thing, but in reverse.

Of course depending on your scene you may WANT the white balance to be shifted one way or another. That's fine. The important thing is that it's consistent, as Brickstory said.

There's much more to it than that, but that's a loose description of it.
