The first of the "Emmet Awards" contests has started. 'Direct your own trailer' involves assembling clips from the movie into your own trailer (and it's strictly only for kids), so it's not an original brickfilming contest.

ReBrick are hosting a building contest where you rearrange the pieces from an existing set into a new build, and everyone is welcome to enter that one. No animation contests though!

So I can't enter the Emmet Awards because I am too old, but I can't enter the Rebrick contest because I am too young? What is happening?!

no more brickfilming *sad face*.

You're young enough (It's for ages 18 and under)

Oh, good.

Wait, never mind. The trailer editor is easily the most awful editing system ever conceived and it allows for absolutely no creativity.

Hopefully they will have some better ones next time.

I actually like Shrek 2 slightly more than Shrek.  Not that I dislike Shrek, I love Shrek, but I really liked what they did with the sequel in my opinion.

Sequels can be a risky business, though.  We'll all have to just wait and see.

I thought I was the only one.

But yeah, sequels are risky, but if one can make it work then it's a nice easy payday for the studio. That said, they shouldn't rush into a sequel just for cash (Like Cars 2, Shrek 4, Transformers 3, etc.).

Nope. I agree wholeheartedly.

But there was only one Shrek film? Like The Matrix and the Star Wars Trilogy.

Some movies people refuse to acknowledge the existence of.

Wouldn't it be cool if they had made a sequel to The Matrix?

Re: Official LEGO Movie

Has anyone played "The Lego Movie" video game? (Xbox 360, WiiU, etc)
I've seen it for sale at every retail outlet imaginable, but not one store has a playable demo of it.

If anyone has this, thoughts on the game?

I will be seeing the movie today! mini/bigsmile I cannot wait!

Re: Official LEGO Movie

oh my gosh

OH MY GOSH

Everybody is talking about seeing it twice and I've still yet to see it (stupid essay tests stopping me from seeing this movie).

Re: Official LEGO Movie

Went to the theater with our friends to see it yesterday, but they ran out of tickets after our friends purchased theirs. Oh well, hopefully we'll be able to try again today or tomorrow. mini/tongue

Re: Official LEGO Movie

I went to two different theaters last night but they were both sold out and had been since early in the week. The quest continues mini/sunnies.

Re: Official LEGO Movie

For all those who saw it in 3D, were the few extra bucks worth it? I'm thinking about seeing it again (for the third time) and I wanna see it in 3D, but I've heard mixed reviews of if it's worth it.
