Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

The shapeshifting guns video? The first frame is quite nicely spread, but the second is all condensed to the right hand side and feels a little odd, as does the way that the background so dramatically drops away into blue.

Here's a frame from La Conquista, which I hope to have finished by the end of next week (though I only started filming today). I got the collectible minifigures conquistador in my Christmas stocking (along with yet another Evil Mech) and wanted to do an animation based around him. He's a really cool fig. I'm already thinking of potential sequels.

You don't really see much of the set in this shot, although there is a big pan that's taking a while to edit where it's a lot clearer. Thoughts?

Also, the body's really good for an Isildur minifig.

That looks amazing, I really like it. Good job.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

The shot looks very nice.  Wonderful depth and the setting and such all looks very nice.
Though there's this little thing under the boat which feels like it shouldn't be in the shot, as though the shot should be angled to avoid having anyone see that.  Perhaps if it's a large photograph you should try cropping that out.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

I like the use of focus for depth and atmosphere. Some sounds of lapping water, jungle screeches and muttering in Spanish and you'd be right there!

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Thanks for the positive response, guys!

I'm going to try and remove that in After Effects, when I do all my colour grading. I didn't think it'd be that noticeable when I built the set, but alas no...

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

@Osomstudies- the first frame is good, but the gaps between the cliff pieces where the blue background show through detract from it slightly.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

I really like that frame Jampot. I can't wait to watch the film. mini/smile

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Hopefully, you won't have to wait long! I've already animated half of it.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

That looks great!  Like Squid mentioned, the hinge on the bottom of the boat is a little bit noticeable.  Not too bad though.
I really like the focus, clarity, and colors in the shot.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Wow, that frame turned out well, Jampot! Great job!

It's purposefully dark, for it's nighttime.

I've yet to edit it. I may fix the tilt.
