Re: LEGO Disney Princess Theme

You sneak out in the middle of the night.  You're on a mission...deadly, but vital.  After making your way down the street and across town you stop at your destination: (super-store type place that's open late).  The doors slide open as you walk toward them and you're feeling a bit queasy and nervous, the mission is getting to your head.  You stroll nonchalantly toward the toy aisles and glance around to be sure no one can see, pulling your hood up to obscure your face as you duck into the princess and barbie doll aisle.
Your eyes dart around frantically, spending too much time in this aisle might be noticed.  You see what you've come to get...the LEGO Disney Princess castle.  A brief smile comes to your face but then you remember the deadliness of the mission, grab the box, and walk quickly to the checkout counter.  The cashier looks at you as though you're a druggie, you've become so stressed and nervous with what you're now carrying.  You pay, get it double bagged so it's harder to see what's in it, and run into the night.

You make it to your house and get in through the window, so far so good.
"WHAT ON EARTH DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING, YOUNG MAN?!" Your father shouts, standing at the top of the stairs.
"What do you have there...?" He says with a sneer on his face and fire in his eyes.  He grabs the bag and tears it open, you see his face turn to rage, disappointment, and disgust.
"That's it...out.  Now.  NOW!" He crushes the box beneath his manliness and scatters the pieces into the fireplace outside, lighting it as you watch with tears in your eyes.  It's all over, you've been caught.  He found your LEGO Disney Princess set.

EDIT: Whoops, forgot about that END films.

Re: LEGO Disney Princess Theme

@JonnDthunDer
Story correction- friends and probably these are in the doll/young girls toy isle not in the LEGO isle. I'm saying this just so people who actually want these don't waste time on their deadly but (apparently) vital mission.

Sounds like some of your parents are from the ignorant and intolerant era.

Re: LEGO Disney Princess Theme

Why would getting princess LEGOs be a problem for some parents anyway? If they do you can say you're getting them for the new parts.

Dumbfounded, you stare at the scorched and mangled remains of what was once the object of your hopes and dreams.  Bitter, salty tears well up in your eyes as you struggle to contain the tidal wave of emotions that is threatening to burst forth within you.  It is futile.  You fall to your knees as you sob violently and uncontrollably, tears running down your legs....

The only thing I don't like is that they aren't actual minifigures, but I am now considering getting some still, they look good.

Yeah.  Those figures are called Mini-Doll Figures.

I also wrote about this and the other Januarty releases elsewhere int he BRICKS section.  Here's what I wrote on the Princess sets:

DISNEY PRINCESS

There are six Lego princess sets, including two Little Mermaid sets (41050 and 41052), two Cinderella sets (41053 and 41055), a CGI Rapunzel set (40154), and a CGI Brave Merida set (41051).  This is a new theme for Lego, as it was exclusively Duplo when introduced last year.  The princesses are all mini-doll figures.  Sets feature medium lavender, pink, and medium and light blue bricks.  Ariel & Prince Eric set features a pink boat that really floats and a new brick type, it appears, a small minaret ornament piece that's gold and 1x1.  It has a castle but I can't see any door to get in.  Cinderella's dream carriage (41053) is a fairly decent representation of the roundness of the movie's iconic pumpkin-carriage.  Rapunzel's tower, called here her “Creativity Tower”, is wide but squat, and it looks like she can jump off to save herself without hurting herself too seriously.  The set says that while locked up, she gets creative and paints and bakes with included accessories (???).  The description also advises that girls have Rapunzel hit Flynn Rider with the included frying pan and tie him to a chair.  Uh, okay.  On the plus side, it comes with a Lego lizard!

However, it's Cinderella's Romantic Castle that will have all the girls bugging their parents!  It looks like a mini-isneyland [sic].  There's a moat and all!  The castle has at least 6 rooms, lots of light blue, animal bricks, a fireplace, a glass slipper, a treasure chest, and almost 650 pieces!

One other notable: Cinderella's dream carriage has specially-designed gold wheels that look just like the ones in the movie!  Very cool unique piece that will never appear in any other set!

& Mickey, they are out already in stores, even in NJ!
