I enjoyed the the the film but all the spinning made me a bit dizzy!
Still, pretty good for your first Lego animation. ![]()
For a first stop-motion animation, it's nice to see someone who has a basic understanding of the art from the beginning. The "sets building themselves" thing has been done many a time, I having done two myself back in the day. But, I must not forget to complement the fact that you animated upon a flat surface. (table) Most of us other brickfilmers usually animate upon a baseplate or other LEGO-studded surface, which is a lot easier. So, I admire your ambitions that are present in but your first video!
The set and figures don't look LEGO to me (and not Mega-Block... Maybe some other sort of brand?) However, some of the pieces present in the set give it the appearance of a classic LEGO one; especially the pillars that I remember from Jack Stone, and the black bars that I first saw in the 90's Pirate ships and Wild West sets! In other words, you evoked nostalgia in me, which makes me love this little short even more!
Overall I see that you still have some room for improvement, but now have a great film to start off with. Most of the classic brickfilmers' first films were laughable at the least, my own first film being just another in a sea of amateur attempts.
I look forward to seeing some more o your films in the future. ![]()
