Re: THAC 11 Starts NOW! [CLOSED]
So, did Carousel ever finish? He was one of the few people who asked me for a voice in time.
I don't believe so.

I'm really impressed with the overall group of entries this year, they give me hope for the future of brickfilming, good job everybody.
Ooh look at me. I'm put on the list two times! FILMYGUY, I HAVE YOU SURROUNDED. PUT YOUR HANDS UP!
This year I edited my film as I went instead of cramming one hurried editing session at the end. Everything went much more smoothly.
lol, did Harry post my entry somewhere? I can't find it!
It's on the playlist.
I'm going to watch all the movies and then write about the contest on TheSetBump. I'll try to highlight the best brickfilms of the bunch. :-)
Where is the playlist?

Haha It's between me and me, bro. xD I got mentioned twice for some reason..
A question, guys: How many frames did everyone take during THAC?
Wilson and I took over 2500 frames together, though some of that was cut from the final film.
I didn't think to count, Squid. I don't think many people would focus on that.

I took 1124 frames.
Anyways, I agree with BackyardLegos. A lot of good entries this year. The list of entries on Hazzat's original post didn't make it seem like there were any disqualified entries. I could be wrong, though.
I'm trying to figure out how to put an img I made for my THAC entry up as my signature, I think I figured out how to do it, but it's not working. Am I not doing it right or something?

Roughly 1500.
Although a tiny bit of that got cut due to not having the mod element, or having to do a second take.
So about 1400 made it in the final film....Which then somehow exploded into a three minute film.
But if that's what you get with an extra hand, that's amazing.
I'm sure he helped a lot on the editing as well, and generally made THAC a lot easier.
Makes me really wish my brother was into animation.

I wasn't counting either, but I was curious so I took a look at my image folders for my film to see how many were in there.

He doesn't know how to work the program, it's very sensitive and hard to manage. So I still edited by myself. Though, around midnight, I stopped animating and had Wilson do everything left in the film while I started editing the first chunk. Then he finished the rest around 3 AM after I'd been already making some progress with the program.
Unfortunately, like my last THAC film, it takes a little toll on the film since Wilson rarely animates and has a distinctive style. However, I tried to instruct he better and it's a little bit closer to mine this time. I also made the film even longer than my last THAC film. We just barely made it.
Next year I really want to make a silent film with no script or voice actors, but have some more complex shots so that I can focus on a shorter but nicer looking film rather than wait a few hours for voices, and have a long-ish script which ends up being about me trying to make people talk for a few minutes.
I wanted to do this this year, but I didn't, silly me! I really should.

I took around 1800 frames but about 200 of them I didn't use because the mod element wasn't visible. Anyway I've watched a few of the entries and there is some good competition!
I used only 900 frames; I'm not really glad from the effect. But I'm currently working on WiP with much better quality
