Cheers! Also the hate on my previous film was just a few of my good friends from skype playing a joke, bit unfair for anyone else to understand but it wasn't genuine!

It's actually a rehashed version of the one I used for BRAWL, and within the film it plays only about a 15 second role.
Yetis with weapons. No, that's not the title of the animation. It's actually called The Ice Vampire, and it's for the BFCU. I want to finish it either before Christmas or before January 6th, but if not then I'll still keep working on it. It's not exactly a festive animation.
The glowy stuff is intentional, and the snow looks better animated. It's all coming down really fast, like in a snowstorm. The yeti wearing armour is the leader, and since they're fed up of living in fear of the Ice Vampire, they go to end things once and for all. I know, the angle in the second shot is a bit dodgy, but I'm extremely limited in terms of animating space and there are only a certain number of ways I can frame an animation.
I spent most of this afternoon building the next set, which I hope to post in the Sets and Props thread tomorrow.
Thoughts anyone?
I'd suggest avoiding the use of snowfall unless you are actually going to go to the trouble of layering it so that background snow passes behind the figures and other stuff. Otherwise it just looks like some annoyance which looks weird against the animation.
Even if it is supposed to look like a blizzard, it makes the video look less nice in the end.

I think I'm inclined to agree with Squid on this one. If it isn't layered in the background, precipitation in brickfilms (Or any film, for that matter) just looks unrealistic. Without the falling snow, I think it's an overall nice frame.
I really like the composition of the frames. I agree with the others about the snow. If you could figure out how to layer the snowfall in a more third dimensional way that could work, but without it I think it still looks great.
It's fairly simple to layer the snow behind the physical objects, the difficulty is that it takes quite a long time to accomplish, even if one is using an advanced program such as After Effects. I agree that it will look fine with or without snow, though.

This. I was actually at a VFX studio (they did the mermaids in Mermaids: The Body Found) doing paid work experience for two weeks, and that whole time I was rotobrushing/scoping from 9 'til 6, so I'm really reluctant to do it again. Honestly, in the final clip, I think the snow looks fine, but I totally get all your reservations about it. I wasn't even sure whether to do it or not to start with.

I don't really have experience with animating falling snow, but I think it will look fine the way it is now, because of how bright everything is.

In the clip, they're walking into the cave and the leader's just turned around to say something to the others.
Excellent frame, Mighty Wanderer. It looks very pleasing. I especially like the sheep in the background

I filmed it in the dark. Do you think it looks good for nighttime?
This is going off topic slightly, but how well does filming in light and then dimming in post-production work, for night scenes?
