There, get reading. mini/wink

I think the general answer to such questions is that they are....If you are also using them for real-life photos/live action videos. Otherwise, there's not much benefit to off-set the huge pricetag. The average life on them seems to be five to six years, so that shouldn't be an issue.

Re: DSLR cameras

Yah, the link seems broken, I'm assuming it went to the DSLR discussion thread, so here, try this one: http://www.bricksinmotion.com/forums/to … iscussion/ . I have a lot of really long posts on there mini/tongue , and just so you know, some of the points in a lot of peoples posts are probably a little out of date now that Canon is no longer selling the T2i, so keep that in mind. mini/smile Also, if somehow you don't find everything you need there (but there's a ton of information), I know more than is healthy about Canon cameras, so if you have any obscure questions, I can probably answer them. mini/smile

Re: DSLR cameras

I love my T2i. Shooting 5K and then down scaling it to 1080p gives it amazing quality.

A Life? Cool! Where can I download one of those from?

Re: DSLR cameras

Wow thanks a ton guys. helps a lot.

Definitely!!!!!!! I own a T3i, and to improve battery life just buy an A/C power kit, so it never dies!

Would you be able to link to an A/C power kit? I've done searching in the past, but I've never been able to find anything trustworthy, and people I talk to in real life don't even think such a thing exists (which is so helpful /s). I'd love to see where and how expensive I can get one for.

Re: DSLR cameras

This is the adapter I use with my T3i. Seems to work great so far:

Same one I use for my T2i

Re: DSLR cameras

I don't use a DSLR for brickfilming only for my live action filmmaking and photography work. It is amazing how versatile they are, I have really enjoyed putting mine through it's paces. So if you want to expand beyond animation, they are a good buy.

Ok thanks for the info. If I get one I would use it for more than stop motion.
