Good point, but take a look at this picture:

While there's a lot of white in this set, there's also a lot of darker coloured details such as window shutters, crates, plants etc. Something more along those lines would look even better I think.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

^ Looks pretty good man, you seem to have a few nice things going on like the fireplace and the stained glass window. Its quite over powering with the red and white, I guess you're going for that look but you might want to more alternative colours for balance. Also maybe a slightly higher angle to be on level with Santa would be nice.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Yeah I'm with Onion. There are some great details, but it's a little over powering. Maybe a closer angle away from the pattern on the floor would help draw the eye quicker to Santa. I'm too tempted to dodge around the room on first glance.

Thanks for the comments! Yeah, I was going for an over-the-top candy cane motif with the color scheme.

Also maybe a slightly higher angle to be on level with Santa would be nice.

Actually, this is just the establishing shot for the scene. I did film close up shots of Santa from both the front and the side at a few different angles that will be part of the completed scene.

@jstudios- Speaking of hoping for great things are you working on any films (if so are you working on your attempted Go-Film or something else)

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

That's cool, I like the effect. And it's a nice clear photo, it looks really nice.

Awww thanks.

Yeah I'm still working on the film I was originally going to make for Go-Film, I got quite a bit done yesterday and should hopefully get more done today. Unfortunately I've had to focus a lot on exams recently, but on the weekends I've been getting as much done as I can.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

I'm still making my batman film.  I have not given up just yet.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

I see your batman film is going to be a bit comedic (guessing from the henchmen who I love the pose of)

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

What are you using to hold up the two minifigs near the back?

Great frame by the way, the tilted angle really complements the way the minifigures are leaning out....or should I say the minifigs complement the angle (be cause I am assuming the angle was going to be there anyways). However, I think that the light up there is positioned in a awkward place and is extremely distracting. Being so bright it drew my atteion right away and was the very first thing I saw. Next time it would probably go better in the corner, or maybe just out of frame.

Anyways great job, I really want to see the finished product.

EDIT: Oh, never mind the first question. I can see the clay holding up the figures, its visible right next to Tut's foot. mini/tongue

no more brickfilming *sad face*.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

@Squid: Like the slight dutch-angle, I always think they add a nice je nes sais pas, I also like the figure in the foreground in contrast to the mummy and co. in the back. My only quibble is with the shiny brick at the right hand side. Very minor but its a tad distracting from an otherwise very good frame!

Looking forward to the finished product!

I happen to have some frames where that isn't visible, I plan to edit it out later.

That's probably a good idea.  It's positioned above a doorway, and it's usually only very bright if the camera is directly in front of it.

That is actually Batman's head.  It's very hard to tell that it's him here.  But he's in a shot just before this.

I'm just going to make this as serious or cartoony as I happen to feel like doing or whatever feels convenient.
Watching them pop out from being in a line behind Tut is rather amusing.
