The problem is that the changes they make reduce the quality of things instead of improve them. And here's the latest, starting next month, Screwgle is changing their policy where they can transfer/sell/give/ any of your private information and pictures to others. But if you signed up before that date you are retroactively under the new "privacy" policy (or it should be called LACK OF privacy policy). And if you delete your account, Google keeps it forever in their databases anyway. So that's Google for ya. First they hose you then they make it official.
Or you could, you know, opt out. It's not like they're trying to make the changes fly under the radar- they've literally sent a notification to everyone with a Google(+, dunno about Youtube) account a month in advance of the changes taking effect. If you don't like it, perhaps you should consider using a service that doesn't fund itself via ad revenue?
