Here is a setup frame for a scene I will be doing soon, all advice is welcome.

Wow, looks good, GEF. The lens flares, I think they're called, look kinda weird, however.
Wow, nice frame. Everyone's really good at cinematography and here I am just sitting 'it'll be alright if I zoom in enough'.
But uh, so I just arrived in Spain and only get back about a week before the contest ends. However I did the stupidest thing ever and forgot to bring my lifelites with me, which I need for the final scene.
I also forgot my baseplate because I used to always keep one here, but I guess I could just go buy one.

Thanks, and yeah, wasn't sure about that lens flare myself. Thought I would throw it in and see what people thought of it, I will keep it out now. Thanks for the input.

I'd say you could keep the one on the coin if it was a little more subtle. The red one at the edge of the frame though is very off-putting.
@GEF, Yep, other than that lens flare everything looks great.
Except, what happened to their hair?
Helps Pritchard with some ideas for Contrast.
Doesn't actually know what's up with the title.
...I'm guessing it's Mal 2...
..But I'm guessing you've developed the story a lot and added something so that somehow that title actually makes some sense.
Sorta, maybe, kinda....OK fine. The title has more to do with the location (Or at least one of them) than the story.
It's supposed to be a bit ambiguous, but will make more sense after you've seen the short. Trust me.
And no, that's a nameless nobody.
Sorry to hear that JStudios, hope everything works out for you.
In other news, I just brought home some blue poster board and can now finish the rooftop scenes. I'm also compiling a rough cut of the film as I type, and have most all the voices imported. I've got an idea of the final running time, and it's sadly shorter than I had hoped. But there's always a change I can finish the bonus scene in time. (Squid, you know what I'm talking about.) I aim to have it done by the end of this month, and will hopefully be able to secure a composer in the meanwhile. I think that's all the news I have for now, so I'll shut up and lat somebody else take over the thread.

Well, I took out the lens flares, and it looks better. And the hair is gone because these are not the actual characters, just used them for setup references.
I am glad to say I finally got my first scene animated , A whole 11 seconds. All my audio is done and I have about 2 min. of sets built, so that good. Though my movie will be roughly 5 min. so I have a LOT to do still . WELL, gota go animate .

It's pretty good but it needs more lens flare:
I think you forgot one thing Squid
Wow, these entries are looking nice, I can't wait to see your films!

I laughed quite hard.

I see your account got taken over by J.J. Abrams
I think you forgot one thing Squid
LOL

Wow guys, you sure made me laugh . Wish I could make this scene like that just for you Squid, but I have already finished it a different way. Thanks anyway for making my day better .
I'm animating one of the two big fight scenes in my film. In camera motion-blur and camera shake all the way!
Here's a frame I just shot (obviously no color correction or...
lens flares...yet )
The colour looks pretty nice as it is.
Be careful about flares, though.
You don't want to over use them. (see the picture I posted earlier)
If you wish, though, I could supply you with my custom flares.
The flares thing was a joke, just because of those earlier pics.
I guess it came across wrong, whoops. Lens flares will be used very sparingly, if at all.
I'll let you know if I need any, thanks.

Ah, well, I went ahead and added a few anyway, I hope you don't mind.
Ha ha.
Well, I'm back from holiday. I really needed to get out of Texas. But, I'm back, and I'm ready to work on an entry...if I get any time to myself, that is. I've got 2 weeks of Summer Camp ahead of me.
I'm waiting for Zachary Volt to send me the screenplay, though. But, I haven't seen that kid around on the forums lately. Huh...I wonder what he's up to.
