Topic: Lego pricing
So I was in Toys R Us the other day picking some of the new Castle sets
when I saw one of The Lone Ranger sets I was thinking of getting at one point, the set
with the steam train. The price on the set showed $129.99 (Canadian) then
I looked ar the Castle set that has the castle and noticed it was the same price as
the Lone Ranger set. I thought what ever, but then I looked at the number of pieces in each
set and noticed the Castle set had 996 pieces to the Ranger set that had 664 pieces in it.
I thought wow what a difference in pieces yet they want the same money?
I understand licensing and all that jazz but I have never seen a Lego Star Wars set
grossly over priced as this set.
It isnt the matter of the money to be honest but getting bang for your buck.
I work hard and want bang for my buck.
But what about rhe kids who rely on mom and dad to buy sets for them?
I have been in the Lego store and Toys R Us and have heard many a time parents
refusing to just shell out fifty bucks for a set.
And I have seen many a parent with the same mind set looking at price then pieces.
Yes I kniw Lego is the best hands down no discussion there, but I really think they have
to rethink some of the properties they take on.
Yes Star Wars and Super Heroes rock and for most part you dont feel
price gouging on their part.
I love Lego as much as the next guy but I will not be gouged at the same time
