Hmm, maybe we could also do reloading a gun, or "replacement animation" as Squid suggested.
I did some parallax scrolling in some of my older films. Wasn't really good though.
I like the "Parallax Scrolling" theme.

I do really like replacement animation, but reloading a gun is something boring and pretty simple to animate. Lets go with a CHALLENGE!

It's not so hard. Parallax scrolling also known as 2,5 D is a technic of special effects manipulation. You can make it on different ways, for example copying 'n' pasting one frame behind the first one. So you are seeing it as 3D image, but it's in 2D. Yeah, it can be a little tricky

Squid explained earlier what replacement animation is:
It's a stop-motion technique where one replaces something with another thing in the next frame to create an animation.
So yeah, get out there and start replacing!

Are you sure that the 21st is the correct date? Today is the 20th.

I meant the 28th.
Basically, you have multiple models of the same thing, all in a slightly different position. Each frame you switch out a model for the next to make it look like the thing is moving. If you still don't understand, David Pickett used this technique his Metamorphosis and explains it well.
I really hope to be able to enter this challenge, looks like a lot of fun! 
You can do replacement by just taking a LEGO brick, then replacing it with a brick of a similar shape. Magic Portal did that a bunch with slope bricks and odd creatures roaming around.
I also have done replacement facial changes. Unlike most people, when I go to the terrified face, I also have a frame with a slightly less frightened expression to give it a bit of an ease.
I am defiantly going to enter this!
