Pteranodon Problems
This is the first finished brickfilm that I have done with my girls. We have some more in the works, and we are having a lot of fun.
"They'll put them on Ebay to find them a new home." 
What was your FPS? It looked to be about 3, and that really doesn't do well that creating the perception that something is moving. I know going all the way up to 15FPS would be quite a jump, so maybe you should try 12 first. It's best to not go below that, or it looks like nothing more that a quickly moving slideshow.
There was a lot of camera bumping, but you did get one aspect of brickfilming that a lot of beginners have problems with: Light flicker.
It could do with a better sound mix, and the voice probably ain't very suited to dramatic narration just yet, but for now, concentrate on upping that frame rate. That's one of the more noticeable aspects of brickfilming, being one of the first errors pointed out if it's bad, or first praise written if it's good.
Despite it's faults, this does have one thing going for it, it's cute. 
(Yes, I really did just say that.)
After reading the description, here's some other advice: Just have fun, that's what this hobby is really and truly about. Even if the production aspects are low, and even if the execution is lacking, the important thing is to have fun.
It's something that you can do as a family, and that's more important than producing a professional looking film.
Thanks for the feedback. I know about the FPS issue, and I am currently weighing what would be the best software to use with the hardware that I have (which might also solve the camera bumping problem, since right now we are actually pushing the button on the camera on a mediocre tripod). In the meantime I have been using iMovie - which is kind of limiting. I have since been focused on just learning and practicing all the steps that go into it.
What Camera do you have? Have you looked at the resource section on the site? Or the freeware thread we have in the software area? It would be a great help to you. Otherwise I liked the originality.
I have an Olympus Evolt 330 DSLR. I was going to buy Dragonframe until I discovered that Olympus cameras don't directly integrate.:mad:
Now I am contemplating iStopMotion. I'll get something eventually. Probably a remote control shutter release would help immensely.
Oh it will help greatly. Anyone will tell you that.
